I was just talking about this with Sandi today! In talking to friends and co-workers who are not Christians, or who do not let Christ lead their lives, I have heard so many stories of pain and trouble because they have not lived the lives Christ showed us. By striving to live by his example, we avoid so many things that cause us pain.
Amen, Eric! One of the pastors at my church in Kansas City likes to say that "even on our best day, we don't deserve God's grace". Yet, we tend to walk around with this attitude of expectancy as if God owed us something. He has already blessed us with all spiritual blessings and made us co-heirs with Christ. Co-heirs with His perfect Son?! If that doesn't make us fall to our knees in worship...
The question is, if He never did another thing for us, would we still serve Him? Is His grace really sufficient for us? It is for me!
a son, a husband, a father and a Minister. And I love being all of those things. I read a lot and collect a lot of music. I've spent the better part of my life doing two things: serving God and working in theater. And I find that both of them work wonderfully together.
